Geometric Values

My Geometric value series started in 2023 and is a study of geometric forms and values in how they relate to the environment around them. Through changes in light, time, seasons, and various art theory practices i gravitate towards, i continue to develop out these designs. I aim to paint local scenes into something unforgettable.

The design concept was developed through my personal connection to hereditary dementia that runs in my family. We were fortunate to grow-up living next door to my Grandpa who sadly developed dementia later in life. It was always a wonder in how he remembered events in his life – he would pull together a full story but the content would be fragmented from different time lines. He was my inspiration.

A lot of painters choose to paint for the problem solving capabilities and to prevent memory loss later on in life. My Geometric Paintings are a study in memory in areas where someone with memory loss might remember a fractured image while still circling the highlights of the moment in time.

Let me know about your framing preferences, and i can help provide a solution!

The frame to the left is a Rustic Burl & Co. Birch Gallery Depth frame made in Canada. Most of my canvas artwork comes framed to protect the painting.
